Grace Community Services

The Grace Senior Center for Healthy Living

In operation for seven years, weekdays from 10 A.M. until 2 P.M. at 39 Erie Street in historic downtown Jersey City.  Each day we endeavor to provide at least one exercise program and one leisure activity in addition to lunch, celebrations, trips, computer literacy, and, above all, companionship.

Breakfast Plus!

In operation only three years and yet has become an integral part of the Downtown Jersey City community. We provide the hungry (mainly homeless or shelter residents) with a hot, sit-down breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Each week members of our pool of over 80 volunteers serve a hearty, hot meal to over 125

hungry guests.

Arts at Grace

Arts at Grace seeks to give voice to artistic expression within the local community through visual fine arts exhibits and theatrical productions as well as in dance, music, and film and through arts education.  In each calendar year The Arts at Grace mounts a minimum of three visual fine arts exhibits, one or two theatrical productions, numerous dance and music performances, and occasional arts education programs.  Film at Grace screens a variety of films on most Friday evenings including classics and independent works.  A digital slide registry of local artists' work was begun in 2005.

Space Rental Program

Community space is at a premium in this developing section of Jersey City.  Our Parish Hall is available for rental for your private parties or corporate events.

Our Diocesan Pledge at Work

We pledge 12% of our annual income to the Episcopal Diocese of Newark. Our pledge allows the Diocese to reach out to the wider community in the form of grants and sponsorships. We have been the recipient of generous grants including monies from the Ward Herbert Fund (Capital repairs/Improvements), ACTS/VIM (Dynamic Ministry) and others.  Visit http://dioceseofnewark.org to learn more!
